Organ harvesting is a blatant violation of an individual's right to life and bodily autonomy. However, cases of organ harvesting are horrifically recounted from all areas of the globe.

Most recently, the Israeli Defense Forces have been accused of harvesting the organs of captured Palestinians and selling them on the black market. A new investigation by Swedish journalists suggests such was the case for at least 20 Palestinians in the 1990s.

Additionally, China admittedly harvests the organs of those put on death row, and relies on prisoners for 2/3rds of organ transplants. Keep in mind that China executes the most people in the world- over 1,700 a year- and many of these people are executed for ambiguous or political reasons.

There are also scattered reports of people in extreme poverty being abducted to have their organs harvested all throughout the world. Some individuals (especially in poor communities) even willingly give up organs (mostly kidneys) through the illegal organ trafficking network for thousands of dollars.

Organs that can be reused are depicted in green: lungs, heart, liver, pancreas, kidneys, intestines, cornea, middle ear, and skin. No one should have the right to steal these organs from another's body without permission.
