One God, Four Figures

Reinterpreting the four evangelical symbols using Aztec style art. On each piece of wood is written what each figure symbolizes in Nahautl, the language of the Aztecs.

Eagle- resurrection
Lion- strength
Man- soul
Ox- sacrifice

Each figure is painted on a piece of wood with a combination of acrylic paint and paint markers. The wood is mounted on tan foam board with sand on it.
